Meet Bitcove

Bitcove, what it is and what does it mean to you? Bitcove is an upcoming force to the corporate world, soon to be introduced. It will offer affordable web management for other small businesses in today’s society, as well as own and manage a vairty of webpages to help the world. Our goal is simple, to take the web for what it’s worth, and refuse to leave until we’ve left a skid mark to go down in history.

Our main site, Bitcove.net will be little more than our homepage. It’ll display projects we’ve done for clients and a handful of our side projects, which will be outlined below. The current homepage needs a lot of work, but then again so does everything else. Hopefully in the near future a guest will be able to take a look at our site and instantly decide to trust us with their website demands.

One such side project will be our official forum, Link Typhoon. Although nothing about this site has been set in stone, we can confirm that the focus will be webmaster based. If we will offer services is to be decided, although probably at first the answer is no. It’s always been a personal goal to provide a place for webmasters of all genres to have a place to discuss things, not limited by server location and local laws. Link Typhoon will fill that goal.

Snazin’ is not something you’ve heard of yet, and to be completely honest it doesn’t bother me. The domain markets on the web is growing even today, with tons of profit being made by those who can keep up. Snazin’ is our way of keeping up, it will sell domains at affordable prices to people interested in them. We realize this site will need massive advertising to get on it’s feet, and we are not afraid to go the extra mile in that regard.

That’s your first real look at Bitcove, although there is a lot more yet to come. The next step for us is to assure the server and get things moved over asap. The goal is to keep downtime to minutes, if that. Whether or not that will actually happen though, is a different story. Thanks for reading :-)

Xero is always on MSN. Seriously.

Haven’t heard from me in awhile? I don’t mean to make excuses for my actions but i’m going to in the very next sentence. I couldn’t be online as much as I dearly wanted due to illness. The kind that’s all in your head but actually makes you sick. Yeah, that’s the one. Anywho i’m back now, feeling spiffy and ready to rant and rave about meaningless items on my list.

Xero is a good friend of mine. Not the band who is now LP, but a friend who listens to what I rant about and gives me feedback on it. He’s part of the workshop if you will, just another pawn in my plans… and also the person that will probably help me out less after reading this post :-)

I’m not going to talk much about Bitcove this time, as I expect a long post about it later this week or late next week, depending on things out of my control. This site will be down for a short period of time as well, just to let you all know. Once it’s back up and running on the new server (hint) i’ll do a lot more with it. I’ve been limited thus far with poor uptime, low CPU limits, lack of updating ability, and something called ‘copyright law’. All of these issues should go away for $200 a month, and if so expect daily or bidaily updates.

For now, i’m signing off. Leaving you with one simple comment;  Be a designated driver, drop them off at the wrong house.

Blog Wars – May the best geek claim victor.

Friends don’t let friends use WordPress. That’s why when my great friend over at I’mJustBlogg.in told me he was using Drupal I felt a bit empty, like I had no further meaning to my life. Then I discovered that a McDonald’s Iced Mocha quickly makes that feeling disappear and fills you with the joys of living. Disclaimer – That was not a paid advertisement, nor meant to advertise the product at all, since I have never tried it personally :-) Snow days can be fun. I had one today, and probably won’t tomorrow as it’s only supposed to snow another inch over night. My school has decided to have a 2-hour delay already though, so i’ll get a small amount of sleep regardless. I’ve noticed that snow can bring out the worst in people. It’s been a known fact for years that humans hate cold weather, but I think it goes deeper than that. I think that the world is PMSing when snow hits the roads. It’s an uncontrollable rage that boils up and can be seen melting the ice off bald men’s heads at times. I’m getting off topic a bit, so let me say what needs to be said: Snow is fun until you are old enough to realize it’s annoying as hell. I know I said i’d post a full Windows 7 review after I had my laptop awhile, so a lot of you are probably waiting on the edge of your seats for that. It most likely won’t happen, because i’m lazy. I may get Josh to write one up though, since he also has a copy of Windows 7. In other words, if you want to know how it is, I suggest you buy him until he tells you to go visit your local Best Buy and try a demo. I would also like to note that I got an email from Ipredator.se today claiming they’re out of beta and have been released public. I’m still waiting for them to accept PayPal rather than Alert Pay before I sample their service though.

Ipredator is not only another VPN-service. It’s also a statement. Right now we’re developing a new tool to make it harder (or impossible) for the government of Sweden to tap into their citizens traffic. Our goal is making people have the ability to use their democratic rights, without a fear of repression. So, the more people that actually use the service, the better. We will get funds to build more tools and at the same time the users clearly show that they want to be anonymous. It sends a very clear message to the politicans! Please invite your friends if they need a service like Ipredator, and tell people about the reasons why they should be allowed to communicate without a third party listening to their conversations… The most important thing is to actually make people aware of the situation.

If Jesus Had A Laptop

It would be full of porn, and you know it. Yes, it’s alittle random but I spent all day yesterday giving “thanks” to him for saving the rest of my family, so today begins another 364 day cycle of hating the very thought of him, and the brainwashing that goes on even in this current day world.

Yesterday was Christmas. What did I get? Not coal actually, rather a new laptop, a printer, and some mints. Yes, the good kind of mints, Andes. Overall, it honestly wasn’t that horrible of a holiday. In the future, however, i’d like 2 packs of mints, since i’ve already ate the first.

Now on to things that matter. Bitcove, the company none of you have heard about, has a new focus. Before we had planned to make and manage a few websites to be part of a ‘network’ we were to own, like CNet. I soon realized that wouldn’t actually work very well, and changed my mind. New focus is to design, code, host, and manage websites for small businesses. Of course the fact that I really need an offshore dedicated server, and this would give me a chance to get one has NOTHING to do with it. More on all that later.

I’ve been doing some minor style design for an upcoming promotion community (oh noez, another crappy place to chat? No, a good place). The style can be previewed over at my official sandbox – MyOffshoreBB.

Torrent Magnet is still doing fine, though we stopped all coding for the holidays. The custom design is working so far, and the code can pull the hash data from uploaded torrents perfectly, a major step in the correct direction. All in all, we’re getting closer to launching the largest magnet uri directory ever.

In closing, I suggest you not use the restroom at your local Walmart anytime soon.

Holiday Break Starts

Deck the halls with boughs of non-endangered plant species
Fa la la la la, la la la la
‘Tis the season to be self-actualizing,
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Don we now our alternate-lifestyle apparel
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Toll the ancient non-denominational-winter-solstice-holiday carol
Fa la la la la, la la la la

That’s ‘political correct’ for you, if you see something wrong with it, then go pleasure yourself, because I don’t care to please you.

So today begins my ‘holiday’ break of sorts. Why do people fight over what they call it? Seriously? Yes, christmas happens during the break, so does a few other events, and everyone but the poor get presents. Should we stop saying presents, since not everyone gets them? What’s next, we can’t say ‘penis’ because women lack such a part? Pointless.

For those of you who actually care to read this thing, there will be quite a few updates during the next few weeks. I’ve got a few sites lined up to be launched, including a free domain community, a Magnet URI Directory, and more. Think of it as my present to the world, just be happy it wasn’t coal or a dead puppy.

One of those days…

Ever have a day that *really* sucked? Yeah, well, no you haven’t. Ever have a day that you felt like you’ve lived it before, and it sucked? I now have, and it was today. I knew today was going to suck before I woke up, and everything that that could go wrong did, and I expected it too. Not only was it suckish, but boring too… terrible.

On the bright side, my extended break was nice. Didn’t get anything done, but really, do I ever?

Actually, I do, just not much and not very often. For example I got ads up on WarezRank now, only $0.10 a day to start with, get it while it’s hot! (Or Cheap) I also purchased a few new domain names, all topsite related. I’ll be setting these up and launching them shortly (or in years), so keep an eye out. Also on my to-do list is launch a forum to go with this blog, piracy related of course (but not illegal, compute that). It has a custom design with it which i’ve been working on, and will be released as Creative Commons when i’m finished (expect delays).

Sorry to cut it short, but I gotta head off. Later^

Opera Unite beats Tom the Turkey

It’s that time again, when everyone starts to give thanks for all the things they managed to keep in these hard times. For all the creditors that gave up trying to collect from them, for the death of a few million turkeys that we will soon chow down on, and finally for Opera Unite’s release in 10.10.

For those of you who don’t know what Opera is, you’re missing out on a lot. Opera is a web browser, like IE, FireFox, Chrome, or Safari. The different? Opera is a boss. It was designed for the average user to have everything they need, and more, without any troubles. Opera has built-in mail, rss feeds, irc, notes, IM Chat, and now Unite. FireFox is huge due to it’s addons, they make the browser what it is. Opera has it’s few Widgets that a few people use, but they never compared. Unite is going to change the way you use the web, it acts as a firm link between everything you do, and will do.

The reason I didn’t post yesterday is actually because I was playing with Unite. I have an 8 year old laptop sitting downstairs that I use as a Seedbox of sorts, direct connection with uTorrent. My main computer is upstairs via a wireless chip. With Unite I can stream all my music live, at full speeds (my router is 100MB or something, my web connection is under a MB). I can even download all my music to my PSP system through the network at those speeds, Unite isn’t limited to just Opera users. Point is, if you don’t use Opera, get started now.

Well that’s about it for now, we’ll see what happens in the next few days I suppose.

Times are tough: Illegal “Fat” Trafficking.

“Dozens of people have been killed, the fat removed from the bodies and sold for use in cosmetics.” - http://www.weirduniverse.net/blog/permalink/murdered_for_fat/

With all fat talk outta the way, I think we can get started. I got a new 8GB SanDisk Flash Drive today, currently filling it with backups of everything i’ll never need. I was also blessed with the long awaited release of Opera 10.10, featuring the new Opera Unite. I expect it to do huge, probably better than Google’s Chrome OS will do.

I’m tired right now, and really glad that fall break starts tomorrow officially (after school anyway). I may not blog that much over break, but i’ll still try for at very least once a day (don’t count on it >_>).

Neighborhood Whore?

Sorry, i’m listening to the song “Sexy Chick” by David Guetta (wasn’t he on American Idol..?) ft. Akon. Overall, not a terrible song. Keep in mind that right before listening to this I had “Don’t Stop Believin’” by Journey playing on repeat =D

Now for something serious, the future of bittorrent. We all know that if you download something that infringes on some 80 year old child movie star’s copyright you’ll get sued and jailed by biased judges.  If the downloads face that, think about the sites that help you do these horrible things eh? The Pirate Bay as an example, see how much they went through just to make sure you could get your illegal Indian porn? Dunno how many of you noticed, but the bay closed it’s tracker the other day. Yes, the downloads still work, through future technology called “magnet links” and “DHT” and such. Well I decided i’d help out the cause by purchasing http://www.torrentmagnet.com/ and i’m thinking about creating a site just to handle magnet links. We’d have a choice to use trackers or not (honestly ain’t that hard to code).

In completely unrelated news, Warez Rank hit the 400k PageView mark today.  This was pretty exciting to me, and I even got the urge to “jump for joy” before remembering it was a Sunday and I don’t do that crap on Sundays. To sum it up, picture me half way in the air and then thinking “wait… ” and forgetting to land properly.

I’ve also received word about my “holidays” gift. Apparently it’s going to be a HP Laptop with 3GB RAM, 250GB HDD, and running Windows 7 out of the box.I’m debating whether to keep Windows 7 on there, especially after that little NSA backdoor leak. I need Photoshop though, so I guess i’ll be forced to keep it for a little while at least. Oh well, it’s my own fault for being too lazy to learn GIMP.

That finishes up my boring Sunday, though I didn’t tell you all the juicy family arrest details… darn ;-)

Chocolate Granola Bars

Seriously. The usual reason to eat a Granola Bar is for quick, healthy energy. Last time I checked chocolate was one of the least healthy foods around.

I should probably explain, for those of you who don’t know me, I often times go off on really random rants about things. They don’t have to make sense, and they don’t have to rhyme. Being as this is my personal blog, those of you who can read will be seeing a lot of little half rants, or “mini rants” as I would call them (though I hear they’re decent sized rants to midgets).

That’s about it for now honestly, I really should keep this kinda stuff on Twitter. “Micro” ranting is the future I hear.
